Our chickens and take a look inside our coop!

Hello everyone,

Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow?! I can't believe it's that time already! Today I am going to blog about something I never thought I would LOVE so much, other than my family, yep you guessed it, my chickens! Call me crazy but I have become quite the little chicken lady and never thought I would grow attached to them, but boy are they fun to watch and pet:) I don't LOVE doing chores during the winter, but I have to do it and I really appreciate the eggs that we receive from them. Everyday I go out there I thank them for the eggs, HA HA, yes I may be a little crazy but it's so fun:)

Here are the pictures I took of my chickens that I have grown to LOVE…….

Playing in their chicken run!

Isn't she B-E-A-utiful?

I just LOVE how unique each one is and all the different colors they are!

Come in and take a look inside the coop…….

Here is looking to the right when you open the door

Here are the nesting boxes under the windows

Here is looking to the left when you open the door, those poles are the roosting bars for them, they love to sleep on the roosting bars at night, or in the nesting boxes

Here are the windows

The light bulb for night time, today I added a heating lamp light bulb so their water doesn't freeze, they also need light to lay eggs at night

Look at why my chickens are worth every minute, they lay the most beautiful eggs:)

Well, that completes the tour of my chicken coop, hope you all had a great time looking inside and if you ever decide someday you want some chickens I will do my best to give you advice! I am also learning as I am raising them:)

Before I go I have one last picture to share with you……

I am so thankful for these 2 kids, they brighten my day everyday, love them to pieces!

Have a GREAT Thanksgiving and I will take pictures from our Thanksgiving day and also my crazy night Black Friday Shopping with my Mother in law!

Till next time………...

Halloween, Baby Shower, and just a bit of everything!

Hi, I know it's been awhile since Halloween but I did say I was going to reveal what we were on Halloween.. so here we are……….

Alivia and I are cupcakes and Brandt is milk:)

Yes, I am still a kid at heart and LOVE to dress up with the kids, it's to fun! The kid's got lots of candy, too much candy, we have barely touched it to be honest. If anybody wants some candy, please come to my house and help get rid of it:)

This past weekend we had a baby shower for my Sister-In-Law, she is due with a little boy in December, right around Christmas, how cool is that?! What a precious present that will be for everyone! Here are some pictures from the shower, sadly I barely took any, too busy chasing Alivia around, but I got a few….

This is the sign I made Betsy for the shower, I found the neat idea on the Internet:)

I had too much fun doing the candy buffet, let me add, it was DELICIOUS, I am a candy LOVER!

Here is my husband's cousin's(mine too), I claim them as my own too:) Sara, Kristin, Me, and Lacee! They really are a "FUN" bunch of girls!

Sadly that's all the pictures I took, I didn't even get one with Betsy and she was the most important that day, duh me! Well pictures of her when she has the baby soon:)

This is what else that has been going on lately…..

Gorgeous tree

I am just amazed at the eggs I have been getting from my chickens lately. I have 2 Americana chickens that lay "Easter Egg" colored eggs and I have never really seen a colored egg come from a chicken except in pictures, well I am living it now.. check it out….

This was my very 1st colored egg, pastel pink, how the world does that even happen?! I think it's so crazy and neat to think that came from my chicken, also the brown one is a beautiful egg too!

And then I ended up getting a green pastel egg, beautiful:)

I have been getting up to 6 eggs daily now, and I have 16 chickens.. so before too long I am going to have 16 eggs daily, WOW, I am overwhelmed with eggs right now:) Got any egg recipes that you would like to share!? Comment and let me know:)

I LOVE having a girl so I can do her hair, I always dreamed one day I would have a little girl so I could do her hair, well that dream came true…..

This is her side ponytail I did the other day, she looks mad but I just caught her not smiling, she really wasn't mad:)

And we can't forget about my BOY, I wouldn't trade him for the world:) He always says to me, "Mommy, you make my heart so happy!" Melts my heart every time, well he doubles my heart in happiness!

This was Alivia the other day at my Mom's house eating her chicken nuggets… I keep telling her she is going to turn into a chicken nugget, HA, she loves them so much!

Alivia and I being cheesy… I have no idea where she get's that smile from:) (wink)

And finally I stopped by Target the other night and picked up this little dress for Alivia for Christmas and parties and whatever else(pretty much a good excuse to buy her a pretty dress)….

I call this Alivia's Christmas "prom" dress because it's so poofy, ha ha:) Again, I don't know where she get's that funny look sometimes.. she is too funny!

That's all folks.. have a good rest of your night!

Till next time……...

Start of Halloween and Crafts!

Hello all,

The other night was the start of Halloween for us, we went trick or treating up town to the businesses that hand out candy.  I think it is great that we have an opportunity to trick or treat more than once and use our costumes more too. On that thought, I will tell you what happened to me. I had a hard time figuring out what my kids were going to be for Halloween this year and I kept putting it off, so when I finally decided, I ordered them. Funny part is back in mind I was thinking that it was ridiculous that I was ordering them when I could just take the time and make them homemade! Well, like I said I went ahead and ordered them, and as time got closer I wasn't seeing them, I was very frustrated and worried because I wanted them to get use out of them more than once like I said. It was a day or so before this up town trick or treat night that I realized my daughter Alivia's was out of stock after I had already planned to have it for a week, they didn't let me know till a day before, grrrrrr! Brandt's wasn't here either and I thought maybe it will come the same day?! So after all of this craziness I thought I better come up with a plan B, so to Walmart we went to try to make homemade costumes. I was SO thrilled that I found supplies for homemade costumes, but after I came home and put them together, my Mom called me and told me Brandt's costume had arrived, ha my luck right?! My Mom wanted to buy Brandt's costume this year so I said sure, wasn't going to argue with that..lol. Since Brandt was really excited about his homemade costume, I decided to pass on his other costume and let him be the homemade one for the business one and then have him wear the one my Mom bought him to school and for Halloween night. Alivia still had no choice since she didn't have one, ha, but her homemade one was a cute idea:)

So here is what we ended up with for the homemade one's.............

Smurf and Princess Fairy

This was the night before making sure the hat I made him fit:)

This was the COOLEST part to him.... his face gets to be all blue:)

My Princess
( I found the felt purse and felt wand at Walmart, along with the crown and just added jewels and her name on the crown, she LOVED it)

Since we are in the Halloween kick I decided to do a little fun craft at home with the kids.....

Painting plates to make them pumpkins.. I didn't have orange paint so we made green ones:)

So excited to be painting

The finished pumpkins:)

Brandt said his is SPOOKY(on the right)
Alivia's is HAPPY(on the left)

I couldn't resist these glow in the dark jammies for Alivia, they didn't have any in Brandt's size which was disappointing!

She was SO proud of them.. ha ha!

Here is what else has been going on the past few days......

I have been married to my sweet Husband for 7 years and we had the chance to go out on a date Saturday night to celebrate!

I think it is safe to say that I am a little spoiled by my Hubby.. gorgeous flowers.. he never fails to surprise me:)

I have a hate/love relationship with these carts at the grocery store.. they are fun for the kids but make the process of getting groceries take FOREVER! Do you agree with me Mom's out there? It's obvious she LOVES it though:)

Brandt agrees that it is cool, now only if he could buy the groceries also, ha!

Aviators, in style, who doesn't want a pair? Who can beat my Walmart special one's, I bet you can't tell they aren't real?
(LOVE them) Especially since I didn't spend much on them at all

Stay tuned to find out the big REVEAL of what Brandt and Alivia and maybe ME are going to be for Halloween tomorrow night!

Till next time................
