Today, I finally took the kids to the pool for the 1st time this year, I have never waited this long to take them but boy have we been busy with a lot. Brandt was excellent and had a blast, easy to watch and he went down the slide a number of times. Alivia, well, not so easy, she was ok for the first half we were there, until I let her go down the slide, oh boy, was that a mistake, that's all she wanted to do from then on:) I can't let her go down herself because I have to catch her because it's too deep there for her, so this Mama had no relaxing today at the pool, but boy did they have fun and that's all that counts:) I will also say Alivia is fearless, she was jumping around the pool not even caring how deep it was and not realizing she could go under, and when she did get water in her mouth and kept falling she just got right back up and did it again, I think she needs swimming lessons already, ha! I wish I could have got some pictures of the kids on my phone today at the pool but that was just impossible with chasing Alivia around, I will get some next time we go.
Here is a little update on our chickens.. we did get them in June! With my Grandma passing away and us having to go to the funeral.. we did lose 5 of them while we were away, but that's ok because we started with 23 and now we have 18, and that is enough:) They are a lot of work, he he, I laugh because I always think the idea will be really fun until you get them and realize you have to make sure they have feed and water at all times and make sure their bedding is clean, and I am for sure anal so my chickens have clean bedding just about everyday. They are getting pretty big and I can't wait till they start laying their eggs, that won't be until winter time though. I am also trying to tame them so everyday I go out there and I try to pet each one so they know who I am and like me.
Here is our chicken coop, isn't it cute? We are going to put the chicken run on hopefully this week!
One of my favorite exotic chickens we have, I don't know what kind it is but I just love her with her fro going on! Ha Ha!
