I am so sorry I have been MIA(missing in action for a month now). I have had a lot happen this last month that I haven't had the time or felt like I wanted to blog. My "Grammy" passed away on June 3rd. She had been suffering with cancer for a few years now, and now is pain free in heaven.. what a blessing it is to know that she is in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, she will be greatly missed here on earth but my family and I know she is in a better place and that puts us at peace.
My "Grammy" lived in Pittsburgh, PA, so we made the 14 hour drive to the funeral and stayed two days and made the trip back home. Short trip but it was good to see all of the family we haven't seen in awhile, some that I haven't seen since I was really little. One thing good about funerals is that it brings all the family back together again in one place to remember the life of my "Grammy" and all of the memories everybody has of her.
I found a poem on the internet that I liked and wanted to share for my "Grammy". Rest in peace "Grammy", I love you so much!
With Love,
Your Granddaughter Ashley
Till next time...........
Rest Now

Grandmother(Grammy), whom I adored ever so much
No longer here on earth, but in the heavens above
Oh how I'll miss your smile and your laughter so big and full of life.
Now you sore in the sky you're an angel so high
You are now with our maker; tell me what is he like?
Are your day's filled with song and praise,
do you sway to the music that angel harps play?
Grandmother(Grammy), whom I adored ever so much
How you will be missed, but never forgotten
I shall remember your scent, your voice and your every feature.
After all you were one of my teachers
You've taught me so much and so many life lessons
Grandmother(Grammy), whom I adored ever so much
Rest now; ever so peaceful in the heavens above
