Here is how I found out we had snow on the ground, and lots of it! I had my alarm set for Preschool this morning but Brett happened to call me before it went off. Brett asked if Brandt had Preschool today and I said, "yes, why?" He said, "have you looked outside?", and before I said anything, I ran to the window and I couldn't believe how much snow we had on the ground, I couldn't even see the neighbors house. Wow, it's May 2nd and we literally have a snow storm outside, I proceeded to my computer to check to see if Brandt had Preschool and sure enough it was cancelled. I am still shocked writing this, I don't think I have ever seen snow on the ground in May or if I have I don't remember it. How do you tell your 4 year old son that it's spring out but you have a snow day today, no school. Just the other day Brandt and Alivia were outside in their shorts and t-shirts riding their gator, wow what a difference a day can make in Iowa:)
Anyways.. enough of the jibber jabber.. Here are the pictures to prove it..........
Is it really snow?
Can't see the neighbors because it's blowing so hard
Pretty deep for a May snow storm
This afternoon, after it's been melting some
Here is what my kids thought was fun this morning....
Who doesn't pretend to be a dog every now and again?
(these 2 are crazy together, that's why I love them)
Would I be a bad Mom if I left them locked in there for awhile?Ha, I'm totally kidding but it was a funny thought!
Also, the smiles didn't last long in the dog cage, it started to get a little tight in there together, so they started to push each other out:)
Where ever you might all be, do me a favor and enjoy a snow day from me! Oh and yeah I almost forgot.. we are suppose to get more snow tonight.
Till next time...........
