Potty

Lately my daughter Alivia,18 months old, has been showing interest in the potty chair.  I am completely shocked by this, my son Brandt didn't really show interest till he was 3 years old.  So this Mama is taking full advantage of the situation and letting her sit on it and try to go.

Here she is sitting all cute, patiently waiting for something to happen(lol).....

She's so proud of her little potty

I have heard some kids get potty trained at her age and I used to laugh and think that was a joke, I guess the joke will be on me if she stays interested and we get it done:)

Like I said Brandt wasn't interested in the potty till he was 3 years old, he was just too busy to take the time to sit down and take it seriously. I will tell you after many failed attempts with him that I went and bought a "Potty Watch", seriously the greatest idea EVER. You can get one for a girl or boy and you, as the parent, set the watch to a certain time frame, 30, 60, or 90 minutes ( I recommend doing every 30 minutes at first) and it sings a melody to remind you to go sit on the potty! Brandt picked up on it right away and LOVED the melodies that went along with it, it was like a game for him. After staying home for a week and using that "Potty Watch" he was successfully trained. What a relief it was to have him potty trained, I think it can be such a challenge, I always said if they had a "Potty Camp" for kids those people would be making a fortune right now!(ha) So my advice to you if you are potty training right now, spend a little money on the "Potty Watch", you won't regret it.  It worked for us and I am hoping that it would do the same for you all.

Here's to hoping Alivia catches on to this potty training fast, I will keep you posted:) In the meantime you can find me in the bathroom!

Till next time.......
