Brett had been asked to give a little talk to the "young people". He decided to talk about "Discouragement", he said we need to stay strong and not let the things around us discourage us but to base our life off of the rock, which is our Lord Jesus Christ. He talked about the story with David, Nabal, and Abigail which is found in the bible, 1 Samuel: 25(the whole chapter). In every situation try to find the good(Satan wants us to find the bad but look for the good). His talk reminded me that also too when you are really discouraged prayer is a wonderful thing and God can help you through it (related back to my prayer post).
I love the way God works in mysterious ways. It seems to me every time you may be thinking of a certain thing or have a certain topic you would like to discuss, somebody else has been thinking the same exact thing or even written down something similar. For example, the other day after I had written my blog about "prayer" I was looking at 2 other people's blogs and theirs was about prayer also. Isn't that neat? Brett's topic tonight too related to using prayer. That just makes my heart happy to know that other's are feeling and thinking the same way.

We had a fun evening, and being with young people and adults that share the same joy for the Lord, makes it even better.
